Administrative / biographical background:

A room in Rose Mount was opened as a Sunday School and temporary chapel in 1858. The new chapel was built at the junction of Talbot Lane (later Lorne Road) and Palm Grove in Claughton by the Wesleyan Methodists in 1871. Closed in 1978.
